The Beast Offense Reverse play is a great misdirection play when the Defense sells out on the Beast Wedge and Beast Offense Power Tank play. This play is from the Power Wing Beast Offense playbook. The PWBO might be the best youth football playbook for your youth football team. It is a multiple formation offensive playbook from easy & simple formations and plays to very sophisticated plays. Enough of that back to the Reverse play.
Beast Reverse Play – Rubberband
Below is the Beast Reverse play Rubberband from the Beast Tight or Beast Base formation. In the below reverse play, the Beast Back is in shotgun and the O-line is in an Even vs an Unbalanced / Big set to get better blocking for the misdirection play. Most youth football defensive coordinators will not see the o-line shift. They seem to always watch the 3 Beast Blocking Backs or BBB.
The Rubberband play is a pretty simple reverse play to the outside blocking back. Make sure your outside BBB is a speedster. If you need to rotate one in or flip your backs around to get your best speed demon to run the Rubberband reverse play. Misdirection in youth football is killer to over pursuing defenses especially when they sell out to the heavy big side.

The Rubberband Beast reverse in shotgun allows the running back to gain some extra depth to get around the contain edge defensive player a little better than the BUC version below.
Beast Offense BUC Reverse Play – Rubberband
If you are running more Beast Under Center or BUC then the reverse play adjustment is below. This play is drawn up in the unbalanced Oline set.

Beast Reverse Play Player Responsibilities
- Beast Back – Fakes Beast Sweep Play – then handoff or pitch to 2BBB coming behind him for the reverse. BB continues on fake blocks edge rusher.
- 4 Back – Blocks / seals backdoor edge rusher or first bad guy, make sure to knock him off balance. Do not whiff!
- 3 Back – Blocks backdoor leads around edge of Defense – Find someone do not watch or whiff.
